Lifting Another Gear in 2025
I’m writing this from my motorhome in Seattle, and I’m still pinching myself that this trip is actually happening.
In just a few days, I’ll begin a world first: running 58 marathons in 58 days across all 50 states of the USA and all 8 states and territories of Australia.
This isn’t just a run—it’s a dream turned reality. It’s proof that hard work, commitment, and purpose can take you further than you ever thought possible.
Getting to this point has been anything but easy. It’s taken:
• Years of training (and not all of it marathon-specific).
• A year of planning every detail and building an incredible team.
• Hundreds of hours running, stretching, and preparing my body to handle the extreme physical demands.
• Rejections from sponsors, doubters, and setbacks that could’ve derailed this dream.
But here I am. Ready to turn this idea into something real.
I’ve trained my body to handle the mileage and fuel itself with thousands of calories a day. I’ve trained my mind to embrace uncertainty and push through doubt. I’ve invested time, energy, and resources—and, let’s be honest, I’ve gone all in.
This isn’t just a physical or mental challenge for me—it’s something much bigger.
“Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow.” This has been my mantra for the last 7 years, and it’s changed my life. Through challenges like:
• 30 rowing marathons in 30 days.
• The 12-hour walk challenge.
• The Goggins Challenge.
I’ve discovered that the harder the task, the more you grow as a person. These experiences have taught me resilience, focus, and the power of stepping outside your comfort zone.
This 58-marathon journey is no different. It’s going to test every part of me—physically, mentally, and even financially. With the exchange rate at AUD to USD sitting at 0.62, every dollar is stretched. But that’s the gamble I’ve taken because I believe in what this journey represents.
Yes, this challenge gives me purpose. It brings people together and pushes me to my limits. But most importantly, it’s an opportunity to raise over $100,000 for the Mental Awareness Foundation. (If you feel you want to donate… Click here)
Mental health is a cause that’s deeply personal to me, and I know it touches so many others. Through this run, I want to spark conversations, remove stigmas, and show what’s possible when we work together.
My goal isn’t just to run these marathons—it’s to inspire you to do something today to be better for tomorrow. To climb out of a rut. To challenge yourself. To build a life you’re proud of.
Because, like this run, life isn’t easy. Things will go wrong. You’ll need to pivot. You’ll question whether it’s possible.
But here’s the truth: “You can’t control everything in life, but you can control how you show up.”
Being in America—the so-called “land of opportunity”—has reminded me that location doesn’t matter. What matters is how you show up for yourself. It’s the work you’re willing to put in.
That’s what I help men do:
• Identify problems in their lives.
• Step up and solve them.
• Grow into the person they want to be.
If you’re reading this because you’ve been inspired and you want more—it’s on you.
Every day, I’m trying to inspire myself by doing what I feel called to do. I’m chasing my dreams, and I want to watch you do the same.
Here’s how you can get started:
1. Join the “Yeah Buddy” 58-Day Challenge (it’s free).
• Push yourself in whatever way feels meaningful to you. Run, walk, or take on a personal challenge—just commit to doing it daily for 58 days.
2. Engage and share my content.
• Awareness is a key part of this journey. By sharing with your community, you’re helping amplify the message and the cause.
3. Donate to the Mental Awareness Foundation.
• Every contribution helps us reach the $100,000 goal.
If you’re waiting for the perfect time to start—let me save you some time: there’s no such thing.
Changing your life starts with a decision. It doesn’t require perfection. It doesn’t require certainty. It just requires a commitment to start and the courage to keep going.
“Greatness is not in the achievement—it’s in the process of becoming.”
This run is my public declaration that I’m chasing my dreams. I’ve turned the impossible into possible, and I’m ready to prove what’s achievable with focus and effort.
I want to leave you with this:
What’s the one thing you’ve been putting off because it feels too big or too risky? What would happen if you started today?
I can’t wait to see what happens when you decide to chase your dream.
Let’s inspire each other, step up, and create something extraordinary.
Here’s to lifting another gear in 2025.
